About The Foster Zoo

My photo
We have decided to blog our adventures again. So much has changed since we last blogged. Bella and Shiloh both went to their forever homes and they are in wonderful families. June Bug got adopted. We quit fostering dogs after those adoptions because Tanker's epilepsy got bad. We quit doing therapy dog work because Tanker's epilepsy got bad. Tanker passed away June 9th, 2013. We adopted a senior border collie named Shania Tankerbelle in his memory. We still have our two cats, Sweet Pea and Little Bit. Wes has started rescuing pitiful bettas from Wal-Mart and we currently have seven. We have a camper. We camp. We have focused on giving our animals the best lives possible. We are The Foster Zoo Crew and we like to have fun.

The Zoo Crew's Personalities

The Zoo Crew's Personalities

Each hat represents each dog's personality:

Shiloh: the angel. Miss Opportunity Presents Itself. She gets in trouble, but she really is so innocent and kind of clueless. She has good intentions. She is kind, affectionate, and loving.

Tanker: The old wise man. The one who looks into your eyes and understands everything. He can see your soul. If any dog is a reflection of God, Tanker is it. He is calm, caring, never stressed, accepts life as it is, and happy in all circumstances. He deals with so much hardship with his epilepsy and the many medications he takes daily, yet he takes everything in stride.

Bella: The hell raiser. The wild child. Life is never dull with Bella around. Her mind is always thinking a mile a minute. She is a quick and eager learner. She tests her limits. She is incredibly smart. She likes to run the show. She is very interested in people and wants to know what's going on all the time.

Topher: The sheriff. Topher make sure everything is in order and everybody is doing what they are supposed to do. A true Cattle Dog. He is a sensitive dog and cares about everyone's well-being. He gets upset when somebody is hurt or doing wrong. He worries about all of us. He is my pack leader and the most caring dog I have ever owned.

Tango: Tango Tango bo Bango Banana Nana fo Fango, Mi My Mo Mang...Tango!!! Tango is my happy go lucky girl. She is just so excited about life. She LOVES people and strangers more than any of my other dogs. Life is good and she knows it. She can create her own fun. She is so naive that she is the picture of innocence. She is happy to experience new things. She is a cuddle bug and loves to love others. Tango is going to make a lot of people happy as a therapy dog.
